As we progress in the implementation of the strategy, our commitment to continuous improvement means we are constantly learning and adapting based on community feedback and experiences.
Year Two provided key insights that will shape our work in the years to come:
- Strengthening Strategic Execution: The success of our work depends on broad engagement and a unified approach. We've learned that incorporating change management principles more fully into our project execution is vital for maintaining momentum. This also requires that we prioritize fostering engagement and shared ownership across all academic and administrative units, ensuring that leaders campus-wide feel invested in our collective success.
- Enhancing Communication and External Partnerships: We recognized the importance of a more centralized approach to external partnerships. Moving away from a fragmented model and toward a unified "front door" will allow us to better coordinate our efforts and articulate a clear value proposition for corporate partners. Internally, we’ve learned that consistent communication and celebration of incremental wins are crucial for sustaining motivation, especially for long-term projects.
- Addressing Institutional Barriers: To ensure progress is not impeded, we must also review and modify existing policies and practices that currently hinder the execution of our strategy.
